Thanks to a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission’s Rural Arts Project Support, Teaching Artist Nancy Campbell will be conducting a Painting People and Pet Portraits workshop on September 21, 2013, from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. at the Tullahoma Fine Arts Center. The cost will be 50$.
The class is targeted to High School and Adult students of all abilities.
Basic supplies are included; however, you are encouraged to purchase and bring your own supplies, or purchase a supply package through us. Please contact TFAC one week in advance (at 931-455-1234) if you wish to purchase your supplies and have them here waiting at the class for you. TFAC can take a credit card over the phone for payment.
Basic supplies include primary colors (red, yellow, blue) acrylic, plus lots of white acrylic. You won’t need black (although it comes with most sets) but you will be using brown (basic brown or burnt sienna). A simple set of acrylic brushes that includes a wide flat brush (1″ or so would be ideal) or #12s and water containers, rags and/or paper towels. Nice to have, but not required, are palette knives and acrylic medium for making glazes
Participants are also asked to bring photos of people and/or pets they would like to paint…and a lunch.
Please contact TFAC at (931) 455-1234, or by email at TFAC@TullahomaFineArtsCenter.org, to reserve a spot. Only 25 places are available, so please confirm early. Your seat will be guaranteed upon receipt of your payment; first come, first served. We can accept credit cards over the phone, checks by mail, or cash in person.
