Job Opportunity- Part Time Director Position


The Tullahoma Fine Arts Center- is seeking an experienced part time Director to lead, develop and manage this long standing art organization. This position requires a creative person who will work with the Board of Directors to meet its purpose of serving the community through the implementation of the current Strategic Plan.

The duties would include but not limited to the following:

Identify and recruit quality art for exhibits in the Upstairs Gallery (10 shows a year)

Develop and oversee 3 major fund raising events annually.

Develop and oversee educational art classes and summer youth art camps.

Represent TFAC at local events to promote the events of the center and encourage new memberships, scholarships and sponsorships. Example would be monthly Chamber of Commerce meetings.

To be current on non-profits responsibilities and requirements from the City of Tullahoma and any and all government agencies. Attending trainings relating to non-profit activities or marketing sponsors by various organization. subscribe to on-line blogs relating to non-profits.

Being aware of opportunities provided by The Tennessee Art Council and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and writing grants as the situation warrants.

Be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the building.

Skills and Experience

 This position requires the ability to demonstrate independent judgment, display initiative and offer creative thinking. Prioritizing tasks, self management and self-discipline and self motivation is a must.This position is approximately 45-50 hours a month and the salary range is $17-$20 hourly. We are actively exploring ways to assist area school systems with their Arts and Humanities curriculums, providing both extracurricular and co-curricular opportunities for gifted and talented students as well as for the academically and economically disadvantaged.
