Get Ready for a BOUNTY of Art Classes!


Fall is coming soon, so why not celebrate by getting crafty?
The Tullahoma Fine Arts Center will be having art classes EVERY WEEKEND beginning October 8th throughout the month of October! Every Saturday there will be two different classes at the art center, taught by local artists and TFAC members. The classes will teach you a variety of crafts, from Iris paper folding to stain glass, all at a beginner’s level! Even if you have no experience with art whatsoever, you will be able to bring home a beautiful piece of work once you finish one of these classes! The classes we’ll be offering each Saturday are:

Oct. 8th—

9:30 AM to 12:30 PM: Creating Custom Greeting Cards with Iris Paper Folding, taught by Pam Wiederman (Class fee is $30, all materials included.)

1:00 to 4:00 PM: Making Creative Color Designs Using Paints and Fabric, taught by Pat Rollie (Class fee is $30, all materials included.)

Oct. 15th—

9:30 AM to 12:30 PM: How to Create a Stain Glass Hummingbird Feeder, taught by Tammy O’Connor (Class fee is $25 with an additional $25 material fee.)

1:00 to 4:00 PM: Turning Gourds into Beautiful Decorations, taught by Kay Foote (Class Fee is $25 with an additional $15 material fee, comes with 3 gourds.)

Oct. 22nd—

9:30 AM to 12:30 PM: Painting a Festive Design for Holiday Aprons, taught by Pat Hitchcox (Class fee is $30, with an additional material fee of $15.)

1:00 to 4:00 PM: Clear your Mind and Create with Zentangle, taught by Pat Rollie (Class fee is $25, with an additional material fee of $5.)

Oct. 29th—

9:30 AM to 12:30 PM: Creating Autumnal Masterpieces Using Watercolor and Collage, taught by Kay Foote (Class fee is $25, with an additional material fee of $15.)

1:00 to 4:00 PM: Learning to make Gorgeous Stain Glass Angel Ornaments, taught by Tammy O’Connor (Class fee is $25, with an additional fee of $25 for materials.)

The Tullahoma Fine Arts Center is an ADA-compliant facility committed to the development of quality cultural experiences and education by providing access to and instruction in the Arts and Humanities, and influencing the direction of area visual, literary, performing and creative arts. We are currently expanding our Member Gallery so that members may display and/or sell their original works -- creating unique marketing opportunities for them to reach local, regional and national audiences. We strive to increase public experience, understanding, appreciation and awareness of (as well as access to) the Arts and Humanities, especially in underserved and disenfranchised communities. TFAC seeks to strengthen our existing Regional Art Museum and lending library by encouraging donations of books, works of art and the endowment of funds to secure further permanent collections of both. We are actively exploring ways to assist area school systems with their Arts and Humanities curriculums, providing both extracurricular and co-curricular opportunities for gifted and talented students as well as for the academically and economically disadvantaged. Finally, we are firmly committed to partnering with civic organizations, other non-profits, city, county and state governments to compliment each another’s fields of expertise.
