Networking for Tourism

NETWORKING FOR TOURISM:
The Tullahoma Fine Arts Center participated in the Tennessee's Backroads Heritage Fall Dinner in November. The festivities were held at the Bell Buckle Banquet Hall in which numerous organizations and business owners gathered in the support of tourism. Guest Speaker was Eric Brown the Home Place Manager of Jack Daniels Distillery. It was nice to gather with other organizations to promote tourism in the middle Tennessee region. As all the businesses and organizations work together we create a better community!

The Tullahoma Fine Arts Center has been accepted as a member of the Tennessee Association of Museums. We are excited for this opportunity to connect with other centers, museums and archivists across the state of Tennessee. The networking provided by the Tennessee Association of Museums plays a significant role in the growth and success of our organization through professional means and opportunities. Founded in 1960, the Tennessee Association of Museums fosters communication and cooperation between museums, cultural societies, and other members on matters of common interest to all. Their goal is to inform the public on the importance of understanding and preserving Tennessee's cultural, historical, and scientific heritage. They also encourage publication and dissemination of information on the state's past as well as the development of professional standards of members who bring that past to the public.

We had an exicting, fun and informative visit today with the Tennessee Department of Tourism Development, our city staff, Bobbie Wilson - Your Tullahoma Alderman, Alderman Kurt Glick and Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce Thank you to the Middle Tennessee Division Director and her staff for taking the time to visit the Tullahoma Fine Arts Center! The visit included a tour of our facilities: TFAC Members Gallery and our numerous exhibitions. TDTD is excited about the increased number of visitors that our organization has seen over the past few months! Our programs and initiatives are significant to the welfare of our community, economy and tourism! As a leader in the visual arts and history (in conjunction with the Camp Forrest Foundation) these types of exhibits and tours increase awareness about local artists, history and more in rural communities! We hope to continue to work with TDTD to increase awareness about local artists, the arts and history! Be sure to visit www.TNVacation.com
